Mina and I rafted the Ocoee this summer. Mina is second paddler on the left, and I'm directly behind her. In the front are two dumbasses from Florida who somehow convinced our otherwise extremely knowledgeable guide that they were experienced enough to lead in the front.

Mina and I are visible to the back and left. You see the jackass on the right jumping into his buddies lap, apparently afraid of water.

Mina and I paddling hard in the back while our two lead paddlers can't see to find any rhythm. I'd hate to see them on the dance floor.

One last photo op before we head into the last set of rapids. In the last and extremely dangerous rapid on the lower Ocoee -- "Hellhole" -- we abandoned our line to rescue a woman who'd tumbled out of a raft from another outfitter's party. As the woman flailed and tumbled helplessly headfirst over sharp jagged rocks, our guide roped her and we pulled her to safety. The woman had lost 7 nails in her struggle to stay afloat in the rapid.

Rafting with some of my IBM coworkers last March on the Ocoee. Our stud tour guide "Mikey" is airborne to the rear of the raft.
